The 14/48 Projects, producers of 14/48: The World's Quickest Theater Festival are taking their brand of extemporaneous pressure-cooker production across genres to present the second annual 14/48: BoomBox on April 2, 2016 at The Royal Room.

Music has always been part of 14/48, but now music takes the center stage. Curated by Michael Owcharuk, 14/48: BoomBox will give 12 composers a theme and 24 hours to come up with 5 minutes of original music. All 12 pieces will then be put in the capable hands of a band filled with some of Seattle's most talented and daring musicians, including 14/48 veterans to rehearse in 12 hours before 2 world premier concert performances.

I have the pleasure of hosting and opening the night for this installment of the Salute Sessions; a weekly showcase and jam session paying homage to different jazz greats. This night features the music of Billy Strayhorn.

Excited to play keyboards and accordion with Nick Droz and the Lost Cause. Great songs written by Nick with a really stellar band. Sad bastard folk rock with a twang. Also on the bill: Silverhands and Wes Waddell.
