Summertime is here and I get to play outside! Hope you are getting out and enjoying the sun. Afterwards come in and cool off with some music. This month I am excited to be performing with the Kate Olson Ensemble, Beth Fleenor, and the Boom Boom Band. See ya out there!
February and March are proving to be quite exciting! A new production of the play Savage/Love opened at the Pocket Theater featuring a new score I wrote for solo Double Bass performed by the glorious Carmen Rothwell. I’ll be officially releasing a limited edition CD of String Quartet #1: The Upward Spiral featuring specially commissioned cover art by Daniel Papke. Working on a new dance project with Karin Stevens Dance. Lot’s of gigs on the calendar, lot’s of good times to be had. Hope to see you out there!
November was a whirlwind of great performances and experiences. I got to work with some extraordinary folks and experience some great music from other artists. December brings a new weekly gig at Bin on the Lake in Kirkland with bassist Nate Omdal and strategic planning for the coming year.
In 2015 SJCE will have a new recording and some great new performances in the works. I will release my 4th record of brand new music. There will be more theater work and some interesting 14/48 Project happenings. Enjoy the holidays and see you on the bandstand!

I am so pleased to be premiering my first large-scale work for string quartet at this action packed event! Not only that but choreographer Karin Stevens set movement to the work in what will be our 2nd collaboration. The entire evening promises to be thrilling because of the powerhouse cast. Performing music by one of my favorite composers with some of my favorite people. Billy’s music is funny, sad, wry, tragic, bold, inventive and we will be telling his story. Starring Tyrone Brown, and featuring Nate Omdal-music director and bass, Jacques Willis-drums, and yours truly at the piano.

The Bushwick Bookclub Seattle and Jack Straw Productions annual collaboration makes for a one of a kind event. Local musicians collborate with local authors to create original music based on these authors’ work.
Very excited to play some music and share a night of music, friends, food, and drink with you. We’ll be playing an assortment of original tunes and arrangements of fun music from TV, video games, and Americana.
